Matthew McFerrin is an internationally awarded Group Creative Director, and Art Director based in New York. With over 16 years of professional experience working in a broad range of communications.

Currently

In 2019 he started freelancing, developing global brand campaigns for Peloton’s Olympic & Holiday, Chase Sapphire, Fender, Google, WHOOP, Apple, Seventh Generation, Samsung, Jim Beam, VW, TurboTax, illumina, and Verizon. Partnering with some of the leading creative agencies in the world.

Past

Before freelancing, as a Group Creative Director at Translation, Matthew oversaw, and built a group of multi talented creatives that helped expand the NBA by telling stories of why they played, not how they played. Created memorable campaigns on the importance of being a good neighbor, a good agent, and having a big head for State Farm. Extended the skillset of the NFL Youth, and redefined what it means for the NFL to Be Strong. Blessed a former Champs Sports employee with a store of their own, rebranded an Island and helped LeBron play his first home game in his actual home, for Sprite.

While continuing to help the agency’s partners go from talking about culture, to making culture.

Prior to Translation, Matthew worked internationally, and domestically on creating global campaigns for wide range of clients. Transforming Absolut Vodka for a modern audience, or redefining soccer, not Football for the MLS, and creating a hotel for a beer brand, and helping people have online swagger.

Matthew’s work has been recognized for the craft and cultural connections to its audiences, and awarded by the top awards including Clio, One Show, Addys, Cannes Lions.

Matthew grew up in Texas, and fills his free time, with random projects in photography, directing, and watching every Palme d’Or, that hopefully no one really pays attention too.
